The year was 1942. the journey began in a small town of Sungai Lalang, Kedah. Mr. Ang Thong Guan, an ambitious and dedicated young man started selling tea in his beat-up bicycle with a starting capital of only RM50. By time, his business blossoms and started growing. Over the decades, we rapidly moved up the value chain to diversify our product range from manufacturing and trading beverages to flexible packaging for industrial and commercial use.

Thong Guan now stands as one of Malaysia’s largest plastic packaging manufacturers in Malaysia and fastest developing companies in Asia Pacific. We are also proudly listed on the main board of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE). Our main manufacturing operations are situated in the Northern region, Kedah which covers 20 acres with established manufacturing operations in Sabah, China and also Thailand.
