DARUL FIKIR (000624088-H) is the printing and publishing arm of Kumpulan Darul Fikir SDN BHD (1177926-U). Both of these entities are Bumiputera companies registered with accordance to the Registration Of Businesses Act 1956 and has opened its doors since February 1984.
Since Darul Fikir started, almost forty years ago, our mission has been to become the leading books wholesaler and also provide the best service to our customers. Along the years we have collected local as well as international titles that span a wide range of genres. As part of the services that we offer is our Iqra and Al-Quran learning center at ‘Akademi Al-Quran Darul Fikir’.
Situated in Kampung Bharu, Akademi AL-Quran Darul Fikir offers classes to anybody who is interested to learn how to read Al-Quran. We have students of all ages from as young as 5 to as old as 75. The classes area catered to each individual’s goal. Some are just starting to learn to read while others are good at reading but are looking to improve their pronunciation. Part of the learning experience is that we also provide insight to the meanings of the Quran and Hadiths.
Some of our bestsellers include ‘Mushaf Al-Quran Tajwid Berwarna (Dar Al Ma’rifaah)’, ‘Buku IQRA’ – Cara Cepat Belajar Memabaca Al-Quran (Ustaz Haji As’ad Humam), Tafsir Pimpinan Ar-Rahman (JAKIM) and also ‘Buku Teks KAFA (Akidah)’.
Darul Fikir is also the exclusive distributor for European, United States of America, Indonesian and Middle Eastern publishers, specifically Egyptian and Syrian publishers and printers. Among these, Dar al Ma’rifaah of Damascus, Syria, has a joint venture with Darul Fikir to publish and print the Al-Quran Tajwid with Color, marketed as “Mushaf Tajwid” in Malaysia since 1997. Darul Fikir is the sole license holder for the publication, printing and distribution in Malaysia for IQRA’ books series written by Ustaz Haji As’ad Humam of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, since 2005.
Darul Fikir is currently engaged nationwide, in marketing and supplying the Al-Quran as well as reading and reference materials to bookshops, libraries, the Ministry of Education, institutes of higher learning, other government departments, private enterprises and private individuals. Darul Fikir is an active member of PQM (Penerbit Al-Quran Malaysia), MABOPA (Malaysia Book Publisher Association), PPPBBM( Persatuan Penerbit dan Pengedar Buku Bumiputera Malaysia and PKBM (Persatuan Kontraktor Buku Malaysia).
