Today, Wakomas Group has grown and diversified into a myriad of industries: from the supply and distribution of petrochemical and fertiliser products to the manufacturing industry; logistics, warehousing, and repacking facilities; and new technology and engineering developments both locally and abroad.

Executive Director, Managing Director
Datuk Lam Weng Wah is the founder and the Managing Director of Wakomas Chemical Sdn. Bhd.
In 1984, he first started his career in Sabah Gas Industries Sdn Bhd, where he was one of the pioneers to establish the local petrochemicals and hot briquetted iron (HBI) industry.
In 1990, he played a pivotal role in establishing a joint venture between a Taiwanese chemical group and Sabah Gas Industries. Through this joint venture, one of the largest Formaldehyde Adhesive Resin Plant in Malaysia was built.
In 1994, he embarked on his entrepreneurship journey by establishing Wakomas Chemical Sdn Bhd in Malaysia. Under his leadership, the Wakomas Group has become one of the most reputable trading, distribution, and logistic group in the Asia Pacific region.
Independent Non-Executive Director
Mr Chan Seng Fatt is a Chartered Accountant of The Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
He has extensive career exposure spanning more than 30 years, covering various aspects of experience, namely external and management auditing, financial management, corporate finance, stockbroking and senior-level operation & general management.
He was the Chief Executive Officer of Tradewinds Plantation Berhad, a position he held for 5 years from 2007 to 2012. Before joining Tradewinds Group, he had held several senior positions in various public and private companies.

Independent Non-Executive Director and the Chairman of the Audit Committee, Nomination Committee and Risk Management Committee of Salcon Berhad.
Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Star Media Group Bhd.
Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee, Risk Management Committee, and the Long-Term Incentive Plan Committee of Fitters Group Berhad. He is also a member of the Nominating Committee and Remuneration Committee.
Executive Director, Fertiliser Division
In 1999, he joined Wakomas Chemical Sdn Bhd, where he has been primarily involved with the fertiliser division.
He ascended through the ranks and is now the head of the fertiliser division.
He played a critical role in establishing the distribution of fertiliser products in the ASEAN Region and establishing Wakomas Group's warehouse and packing facility in East Malaysia.
With his contributions and continuous hard work, the Wakomas Group has grown to become a significant player in the fertiliser industry.
Executive Director, Chemical Division
Mr Wong Leong Kong is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).
He first started his career in external auditing in one of the Big 4 audit firms.
He later became the Regional Internal Audit Manager for a multinational chemical company before climbing up the ranks to become the Finance Manager and then the Supply Chain Manager.
In the year 2002, he joined Wakomas Chemical Sdn Bhd and has since played a crucial role in developing and expanding Wakomas Group’s petrochemical portfolio across Asia.
