Golden Montessori is a Montessori based Pre-school/Kindergarten for early school goers from the ages of between 2 to 6 years old. Nestled in the friendly neighborhood of Taman Yarl, Golden Montessori aims to provide a secure and nurturing environment where children develop cognitive skills, motor development and social emotional skills through hands-on learning activities that lead to academic success.

What is a Montessori Education

Montessori is a method of education named after Dr. Maria Montessori. She was the first woman in Italy to obtain the degree of Doctor of Medicine. Because she was a doctor, Maria Montessori looked at education from a scientific level. She believed that education should prepare a person for all aspects of life. She designed materials and techniques that would promote a natural growth of learning in students. These materials and techniques are common to all Montessori classrooms. Working with these materials and techniques forms a pattern that children carry over naturally to reading, writing, and mathematics. Each skill is developed to interlock with another. 

Our Curriculum

• GMKL provides a holistic developmental program fulfilling the needs and appreciating the differences of the individual children.
• We aim to provide a balance of a child initiated and teacher focused activities: active and quiet activities as well as group and individual activities.
• Our curriculum combines aspects of the Montessori Method and theme-based curriculum to create a hands-on, program where children interact with each other through co-operation and collaboration.
