Established in 1991, Airfoil Services Sdn Bhd (ASSB) specialises in the repair of Airfoils for High Pressure Compressors (HPC) and Low Pressure Turbines (LPT). The portfolio contains all major civil aircraft engine types.
The company, jointly owned by MTU Aero Engines AG (MTU) and Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) in equal shares, has perfected the craft of providing state-of-the-art and cost efficient repairs with market benchmark turnaround times and quality. Both of these partners represent leading-edge competency in aviation MRO and by transferring and combining these competencies they have established a Centre of Excellence dedicated to Airfoil repair here in Malaysia.
Located on a 24,000 square metres site, the ASBB factory comprises 6,000 square metres of production floor space and approximately 2,500 square metres of office space accommodating the current staff size of 455 Employees.
ASSB takes pride in its highly skilled employees and is committed to continuously train, develop and accredit them with the qualification needed to meet the highest quality demands from their customers. With the continuous support from MTU Aero Engines AG and Lufthansa Technik, ASSB doesn’t only rely on the local training programs, but also combines best knowledge from both worlds ensuring seamless qualification as well as the personal development of its staff.
