SME Aerospace (SMEA) Sdn. Bhd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of National Aerospace & Defence Industries (NADI) Sdn. Bhd., was formed in Year 1992 through the Offset Program. The launching products begin with the Hawk Aircraft Pylons for the BAE Systems, and the Civil Certified MD3-160 Aircraft Aerostructural Parts and Components. Both of these programmes were launched with the technical assistance of BAE Systems under the Hawk Aircraft Offset Programme.

With this first offset programme, SMEA had managed to go on its own to win a number of international tenders including the manufacture of more than 300 Hawk Aircraft Pylons, Hawk Fuselage Parts and Assemblies, Airbus A300 and A319/320/321 Civil Aircraft Parts, BAE Systems Regional Jet (RJ) Wing Leading Edges and Carriage Assemblies, Nimrod Aircraft Parts, and Parker Aerospace Turbine Engine Parts.

Starting from that, SMEA have stepped up and debut as a Major Manufacturer of aircraft components for many of the primes including Boeing and Airbus. SMEA offers a comprehensive solution to your requirements, with vertically integrated facilities offering high precision machining, fabrication, treatments and assembly.

Situated just outside of Kuala Lumpur, SMEA is strategically located to serve both local and international customers, in delivering over one million, quality components per year.

Our procedures are certified by the internationally accredited Quality Management System, which includes AS9100 Rev. D, NADCAP PRI for Heat Treating, Surface Enhancement, Non-Destructive Treatment, Chemical Processing and Measurement & Inspection.
