Ella Tec Sdn Bhd was established on 2012 as an evolutionary step of the Ellatec Group of companies which was initially founded in Australia in 2000 as the South East Asian Regional Representative for National Oilwell Varco for multiplex pump.

Through the preceding years the Ellatec Group has evolved into a distributor and packager of National Oilwell Varco for ; multiplex API 674 pumps, SENTRY Quick Opening Closures, and API 6A Choke Valve.
