KTA (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd was first established in 1979 as a multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm in Sarawak and as a subsidiary company of Kumarasivam, Tan & Ariffin Sdn Bhd. Since incorporation, it has built up considerable expertise and experience in the planning, design and implementation of projects covering the complete range of engineering activity. In 1991, KTA (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd bought over all the remaining shares previously owned by the parent firm Kumarasivam, Tan & Ariffin Sdn Bhd and became a completely separate entity. It is also completely separate from KTA Tenaga Sdn Bhd. Over the years, led by a team of dynamic and quality conscious engineers, the firm has grown to become one of the top ten largest consulting firms in Malaysia with services being used throughout Sarawak, Sabah, Peninsular Malaysia and some other countries including Cambodia, Iraq and Qatar. The firm is committed to deliver high quality services and to serve the best interests of it Clients. Through continuing education, our engineers have kept themselves abreast of the latest developments and technologies in the engineering industry and have successfully applied innovation to arrive at sound, cost effective and practical engineering solutions. In January 1995, we established a branch in Kuala Lumpur to serve our Clients in Peninsular Malaysia. KTA (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd has total staff strength of 230, and is wholly owned by Malaysian citizens with 30% Bumiputra content in share equity.
